Cd cover's illustration for an old friend's band. Súplica (Supplication) is its name. Gospel Progressive Heavymetal.
It was his desire that i produced an illusration that contains a man, in a devastated enviroment, supplicating for God's mercy. The God's mercy had te be represented by a light comming from the top. Criticism and sugestions are welcome.

Desenvolvi esta ilustração para a capa do primeiro cd de uma antiga banda que um grande amigo de infância participa. Súplica é o nome da banda (que dá título à ilustração. Heavy Metal Gospel, se não me engano...), e Cleisen é o nome do amigo.
No briefing constava um personagem arrependido, suplicante, em meio a um ambiente devastado, recebendo uma luz divina da parte de cima. O resultado ficou mais ou menos como eu imaginei. All done in Photoshop CS. No references or textures were used. It Has aproximately 180 Layers and the image construction technique almost don't include digital painting with brushe type tools. Because of the need of pixels and color precision, the preferred technique was the manipulation and painting of selections and the uses of Layer Styles combinations.
